Andy Murray Gives Glimmer Of Hope Of Wimbledon Appearance

Andy Murray Gives Glimmer Of Hope Of Wimbledon AppearanceBookmakers Adding Andy Murray to Markets

Bookmakers have reacted to the news that Andy Murray has had successful surgery on his hip by adding the former world number one back into their Wimbledon outright market.

The three-time Grand Slam winner announced back in January that he was set to retire from the sport in 2019 with an appearance at his home Slam looking very unlikely. However, his chances of featuring have now increased.

Murray’s last competitive action on a tennis court was in the Australian Open back in January where he was beaten in five-sets by Roberto Bautista Agut. The 31-year-old was two sets down in that tie but showed fantastic character to level the match at 2-2. Sadly for Murray’s fans, he ran out of energy in the final set where the Spaniard was able to seal the match.

Tribal Sports Betting Bill Introduced in Washington State

Tribal Sports Betting Bill Introduced in Washington State

Eight representatives from Washington State filed a new tribal sports betting bill. Once the bill became a law, it will legalize sports betting at tribal gaming venues across the state. HB 1975 will allow tribal casinos to offer sports betting in person and online. However, it doesn’t include mobile activities in its wordings.

Federally recognized Indian tribes can offer sports wagering. In addition, the casinos need to have a Class III gaming contract with Washington State to qualify for the service. Once the bill becomes law, players can bet on all amateur and professional sports events. However, the bill doesn’t allow betting on horse racing.

The bill allows players to place bets online if they are within a tribal gaming facility. It doesn’t allow users to place wagers through mobile apps while they are at home or anywhere else aside from a tribal casino.

Le’Veon Bell No Show at Steelers Opener

Saturday, the Pittsburgh Steelers are on their way to Cleveland for the season opener, but Le’Veon Bell was not there. It is not totally unheard of, but very uncommon for a contract dispute to extend to the season, but Bell, running back for the Steelers, was a no-show for the Steeler’s week 1 game where they go against the Browns. Nonetheless, Week 1 is going to be a very exciting week for those who bet on sports, as seen by the number of wagers placed in priceperplayer.com.

This probably was not easy for Bell, since missing out on this will be costing him a whopping $855,000 payday. Without Bell, James Conner, a second year running back will be starting in the backfield. The Steelers also have Stevan Ridley and Jaylen Samuels as standby ground-gainers.

It would have been Bell’s second straight year for playing in the franchise tag for the Steelers. This is reportedly worth $14.45 million. However, Bell, an All-Pro running back still does not want to sign the deal. The deadline for Bell to sign and submit the contract was supposedly on Labor Day, but the holiday passed and the Steelers still don’t have Bell’s signature.
