Playing professional football certainly gets its share of player injuries and last Sunday, another NFL superstar was lost to injury. Green Bay Packer quarterback, Aaron Rodger suffered a broken collarbone in the first quarter against the Minnesota Vikings that ended up in a 10-24 loss for the Packers.
The injury came about after he was tackled hard by linebacker Anthony Barr of the Vikings. He was promptly taken off the field in a cart and was later diagnosed with a broken collarbone.
The big question is whether Rodgers will be able to come back to the field this season.
Packers fans are hoping that Rodgers will do a repeat of 2013 when Rodgers suffered a broken collar bone but was able to play again for Week 17 of the 2013-14 NFL season.
This has of course has dramatically changed the odds on future Packers games but many Sportsbook Pay Per head services believe that if Rodgers can heal like he did back in 2013, there is a possibility that he will be back on the field by the end of the NFL Season. We should know more later in the week whether this injury is more serious than the past one.
This season so far several NFL star players have suffered injuries which include J.J. Watt from Houston, Josh Norma from Washington and New York Giants Odell Beckham Jr.
With Rodgers who will be out of most of the season if not all of it will really hurt the Packers chance at the playoffs. It is a possibility that Colin Kaepernick will take over but most sports experts believe that Brett Hundley will be named the starting quarterback for the Packers.
Hundley was drafted by the Packers in 2016 only appeared in four games and thrown 10 passes in during the 2016 season. He will have to step up his game if the Packers have any chance of making the playoffs.
